Kate Middleton is such a thrifty princess. For someone who has access to an endless supply of fashionable clothes, the Duchess of Cambridge does not mind wearing recycled outfits.

An insider told Us Weekly that Kate is not one to waste an outfit. She was actually seen recently rewearing a red L.K. Bennett dress for a Zoom chat with a charity. She first wore this dress at the 2015 Wimbledon.

"Like most people, Kate doesn't think twice about recycling clothes," the insider said. "She thinks it would be a waste to wear something once and then throw it away."

The Duchess of Cambridge is also aware of the fact that part of their lifestyle is paid for the taxpayers. Thus, it would not look good if Kate were to waste money on clothes when it's the people paying for it.

Kate also likes clothes that are cozy and comfortable, the source further said. She does not dress up like a ritzy princess but someone who still has a normal and relatable style. Her quarantine outfits are actually quite so simple and Kate is really a jeans, shirt, and sweater kind of girl before she became a royal.

But Kate can still pull off looking expensive and regal despite her penchant for casual outfits. She one wore a $10,000 Alexander McQueen dress for a royal gala and stunned those around her.

Meanwhile, royal observers said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are handling life in lockdown with their three children quite well. Royal author Claudia Joseph told Vogue that Prince William and Kate are managing brilliantly, balancing their roles as parents and as royal icons.

"They have been very prominent on social media boosting the spirits of the country," Joseph said. "We have seen Prince William in a Blackadder sketch, the Duchess of Cambridge chatting to nurses and carers, Prince Louis making a rainbow poster and the whole family clapping our NHS."

Sources also said that Prince William and Kate take time biking with their children in the Sandringham estate if they don't have work to do or video calls to attend to. They also take the children at a nearby beach and Kate spends a lot of time in the kitchen to cook for her family.

Kate spends a lot more time homeschooling the two older children. They try to be any normal parent while still keeping their appeal as royals to the British public.
