Prince Charles, 71, contracted COVID-19 in March with only mild symptoms. The Prince of Wales bounced back to good health after only a week and without hospitalization because he apparently beat the disease from the novel coronavirus with a simple body regimen.

According to reports, Prince Charles routinely does a full body work out that was crucial in helping him recover from the coronavirus faster, despite his age. Apparently, because the Prince of Wales was moderately exercising every day, he was able to boost his immune system which aided in his faster recovery from the dreaded pandemic disease.

Prince Charles does a simple exercise, which is also the same routine followed by the Royal Canadian Air Force. The workout is composed of stretches, sit-ups, back extensions, press-ups and scissor jumps.

Experts did say that active people who often do cardio workouts build up a line of defense against illnesses. Thus, in the absence of vaccine or a treatment for coronavirus, the importance of doing daily exercises should be encouraged to maintain good health and wellbeing.

The Prince of Wales is actually a fitness buff who goes to the gym at an average of seven or eight times a month, before the lockdown orders were in place. Reports cited that this is more times than anyone in his age group ever does but Prince Charles said it's still a struggle to keep fit, especially with his busy schedule.

Prince Charles also said in a video conference that he's quite lucky to have just mild symptoms of coronavirus. His son, Prince William, however, said in a BBC interview that they worried for the heir to the throne's health.

Prince William revealed that they had concerns for his father battling COVID-19 because he was of the vulnerable age. The Duke of Cambridge also felt concern that his father needed to be isolated when he's the type of person who loves being out and about, walking in his estate.

Despite the odds, however, Prince Charles continue to be in good health even after COVID-19. The Prince of Wales has been back to his royal duties, albeit via video conferencing only since face-to-face or in-person meetings are still not allowed in the U.K.

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, also continue to isolate in Birkhall, Scotland. The royal couple are expected to stay in their country estate well over the summer since those in the vulnerable age are advised to limit their movements.
