If you want to live like a true royal, Princess Diana's former vacation home in the Bahamas is now on the market. The luxurious property is currently for sale for a whopping $12.5 million. For those who want to live like a princess, this place is for you.

This lavish house used to be Princess Diana's vacation spot, along with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in the late 1980s. Ken Wharfe, her former royal protection officer for six years, even wrote in his 2017 book, Guarding Diana: Protecting The Princess Around the World, the time she spent in this huge property.

Wharfe described the 4,492-square-foot estate as a place that gave the Princess of Wales a great deal of privacy. It is part of the enormous luxury complex, guarded by the police, and spotlessly maintained.

Well, it is not that surprising as the house is located in the gated community of Lyford Cay, known as one of the most elite and private communities in the Bahamas. According to its listing, the new owners will be neighbors are the likes of Sean Connery and the Bacardi family.

Every inch of Princess Diana's former vacation house screams lavishness. It is undeniably grand, not to mention secluded, just like how she liked to keep things private whenever she spent time here with her family.

It has five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Each bedroom also has a good view of the breathtaking beach, and one of them has a door to the private pool.

Designed by the architect Happy Ward, it was built in 1969. According to Town & Country Magazine, it could be seen at the end of a secluded lane and featured 180 feet of private beach frontage.

Sitting on a 1.05-acre of land, it also features a huge kitchen that has several cabinets for storage. It also has an island in the middle so that the new owner can have enough space to prepare their meals, Hola! Noted.

Princess Diana's former home also features a private, heated swimming pool whenever the new possessor plans to take a dip. When the outdoors gets too cold, they can still enjoy the indoors with the beautiful views of the outside it offers.

With its huge living space, Princess Diana might have entertained several of her guests in its luxuriously designed living and dining areas, complete with pickled tongue and groove tray ceilings.
