Prince Harry has a special relationship with music producer David Foster. The latter's wife, Katherine McPhee, revealed that the Duke of Sussex and her 70-year-old husband are "like father and son."

In an interview with Access Hollywood, McPhee said that Foster's closeness with Prince Harry is "really beautiful." Over the years, the couples have been in touch as good friends and it was Foster who helped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex find a house when they moved to Vancouver during the Christmas holiday in 2019.

Foster arranged for Prince Harry and Meghan to stay at a mansion owned by the songwriter's close friend. Speaking with Daily Mail, Foster said that he was honored to help out Prince Harry and Meghan make their stay comfortable in the Commonwealth country.

He said that he was glad the Sussex pair was able to enjoy their respite as they dealt with a family crisis. However, Foster said he doesn't know if the Sussexes paid rent to his friend because all he did was simply connect Prince Harry and Meghan to the homeowners.

McPhee also said that her husband didn't do much with the arrangement for Prince Harry and Meghan and the Vancouver mansion. Foster is simply the resource guy who was happy to help a family settle down.

Incidentally, McPhee and Meghan share something in common as well. They both went to the same high school in Los Angeles and worked in some stage productions together.

The singer said that she wasn't close to Meghan growing up since she was in middle school when the TV star was in high school. They do have a photo together from their former school, which the former American Idol star shared on her Instagram account.

By March, however, Prince Harry and Meghan had to say goodbye to their temporary Vancouver home as they moved to Los Angeles to set up their new life and new foundation, Archewell. The Sussex pair are currently staying at a mansion owned by movie producer Tyler Perry.

It was Oprah Winfrey who arranged for Prince Harry and Meghan to stay at Perry's house. It's unclear, however, if Perry actually met the couple since he's based in Atlanta. It's also not certain if the Sussex pair is paying rent or staying as houseguests in the Beverly Hills home.

Prince Harry and Meghan are apparently set on looking for a more permanent house in Los Angeles once the public health situation is better. Reports revealed that the Sussex pair want to live in Malibu and have been looking for a property online.
