Capcom is reportedly preparing for the launch of its latest offering following "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." If the newest Twitch ad is to go by, it appears that the upcoming title might appear at the PS5 event on Jun 11, 2020. "Resident Evil 8" is also listed by a German retailer as a title releasing on Sony's current generation gaming console, the PS4.

"Resident Evil 8" Launching At The PS5 Event

The latest information about "Resident Evil 8" came from Twitter user AestheticGamer, a.k.a. Dusk Golem. According to the insider, he is 99 percent sure that the upcoming title from Capcom would be at the PS5 reveal event. The Twitter user also pointed out that all "Resident Evil" titles went on sale a few days ago.

The insider also mentioned that "Resident Evil 7" had one of the most significant discounts ever, which falls on the same date as the postponed PS5 reveal event. Dusk Golem also underlined that "Resident Evil" titles going on sale is not unusual, but the timing is quite telling. The "Resident Evil" games and how they go on sale 100% happen alongside a game reveal, he added.

The Twitter user also noted that a similar thing happened when Capcom launched "Resident Evil 7," "Resident Evil 2" and "Resident Evil 3." The sale took place on every available platform with the "RE7" getting the biggest discount. Additionally, the sale happened at the same time as the postponed PS5 reveal event, the insider explained to one of his followers.

Dusk Golem is the same insider earlier revealed that "Silent Hill" would be launched at the PS5 reveal event alongside "Resident Evil 8." He previously said that "Resident Evil 8" was supposedly scheduled to launch at the E3 2020, which was canceled because of the current global health crisis. Capcom has not yet confirmed if "Resident Evil 8" is in the works, but several major outlets reported the horror title as early as Apr 2019.

Meanwhile, German retailer GamesOnly may have accidentally leaked "Resident Evil 8." Twitter user Ken Xyro shared the listing, which comes with a temporary box art with an image somehow similar to "Resident Evil 4." The store page shows "Resident Evil 8: Village" Uncut Edition, which could mean that it would not be censored for players in Germany. The listing also claims that "Resident Evil 8" would be the cruelest and darkest offering under the "Resident Evil" franchise.
