But aside from his complicated love life, the upcoming season could also explore other stories, like Owen being a doctor. It would be nice to see him handling some difficult medical cases. When it comes to being a father, he'll possibly experience several challenges with parenthood.
Beyond that, it's also nice to see some people in his like appearing including her sister, played by Abigail Spencer. His backstory is worth-exploring since there's probably a part of it that wasn't yet shown. Some secrets from his past might be uncovered as well.
Grey's Anatomy season 17 could also explore more of Owen's friendship with others. He is usually intense, largely because he tends to make things difficult. Spending some time with his friend might be good as it will allow him to relax a bit more.
Meanwhile, the official premiere date of Grey's Anatomy season 17 is still up in the air. Filming may not begin anytime soon because of the current global health crisis. If ever the production will be delayed, then the release of the new season will be delayed as well.
