Piers Morgan agreed to Melania Trump's move to protect her son, Barron Trump, over John Henson's insensitive post about the child's paternity. As a father of three kids, the veteran journalist knew how hard it is for his boys to grow up with a "high-profile, controversial father."

So, with the continuous tirades against Donald Trump, he might have understood how hard the past few years for Barron Trump have been. He has to deal with his dad's fame and controversies, not to mention being heavily guarded and scrutinized.

The 55-year-old broadcaster believed things might have turned out for the worst for the 14-year-old child when the issues about the POTUS having a fling with a porn star were exposed. Hence, in his piece in Daily Mail, he admitted that he has "tremendous sympathy" for the youngest Presidential son.

He, too, fully understands why Melania Trump always fights back when his name gets dragged into Donald Trump's issue, just like what she did when she got back to John Henson. In a tweet, the Food Network host said that he hoped Barron Trump got to spend Father's Day with "whoever his dad is."

Of course, she, along with a lot of people, didn't like the now-deleted post. Piers Morgan believed it was a "contemptible thing to say," especially the comedian has two kids himself.

So, when his post started to earn criticism, John Henson tried to explain that it was a joke aimed at Donald Trump and not his son. However, the Good Morning Britain host contended he was mocking a boy in the "cruelest way possible" by insinuating his dad was not his real father.

As expected, Melania Trump got mad and instructed her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grishman, to issue a statement. She slammed the 52-year-old personality's "inappropriate and insensitive comment."

Grisham said that just like any other administrations, a minor child should be "off-limits" on any political issue. They should grow up with no "judgment or hate from strangers and the media." From here, Piers Morgan strongly agreed.

Although Melania Trump is known for being quiet, rarely giving public statements, she broke her silence when Barron Trump's name also got dragged during House Impeachment proceedings last year. According to Standard, the First Lady was fierce to defend his son's privacy.

In a Twitter post, Melania Trump told Professor Pamela Karlan, who made a joke using Barron Trump's name, that she should be ashamed of herself for what she said. Karlan later apologized.
