Prince William and Kate Middleton often receive praise for their work in the monarchy. So, when the Duchess of Cambridge officially joined the Royal Family in the historic royal wedding of 2011, what does Queen Elizabeth II has to say?

A lip-reading expert revealed what Queen Elizabeth said after Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot. Did she approve of the wedding or not?

The Cambridges held their wedding at Westminster Abbey in April 2011. They got the support of the whole Royal Family, who celebrated the exceptional day with them.

Their much-talked-about wedding is now part of history. Millions of people watched the event on TV, and a lot of them even waited outside of the collegiate church in London to catch a glimpse of the couple.

As the members of the Royal Family looked proud when Prince William tied the knot with Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth looked relaxed and happy, Mirror Online reported. When they officially became husband and wife, Her Majesty then turned to her husband and whispered her point of view about the wedding.

According to CBS News, the Queen told Prince Philip that the wedding "was excellent." The Duke of Edinburgh then told her yes.

But when they were outside of Westminster Abbey, she then told him that she wanted Prince William and Kate Middleton to take the "smaller carriage." Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, then intervened, saying everything went well, to which her mother-in-law agreed.

The lip-reading expert also analyzed the duke and duchess' conversation when they took the carriage, riding them around London and waving to the well-wishers. The future King said he hoped he would remember, adding that "it's mad," and it was deafening as people were clapping. He also told his wife that she looked happy.

Before they officially tied the knot, Prince William and Kate Middleton had an up-and-down relationship. According to Fox News, British author Tom Quinn claimed Kate managed to give her husband a "stable home life."

The mother-of-three has been the perfect companion for the prince, thanks to her calmness and stability, which are the traits he needs. Kate Middleton is Prince William's rock. She doesn't have a history that is all over the place, so the Royal Family feels safe with her.

Quinn continued that Kate Middleton perfectly knows how to stay happy while being a part of the Royal Family. Whatever the press says about her, she doesn't complain and explain, and he said Prince William's wife is "very good at that."
