Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world when they announced, earlier this year, that they would be stepping down as senior royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared that they want to focus on their family and charities while being “financially independent.”
An unofficial biography of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was, recently, released, and it revealed a lot of bombshell happenings, including the former actress’s alleged final words before quitting royal life. Finding Freedom is authored by veteran royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who reportedly had unique access to the Royal Family and have witnessed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lives.
Omid Scobie revealed Meghan Markle’s finals words to him in the book. “It didn’t have to be this way,” the Duchess of Sussex, allegedly, said.
The royal author wrote that, “Staff who had been with the couple from day one were mourning the end of what was supposed to be a happy story: two people fall in love, get married, have a baby, serve the Queen, the end."
But, things didn’t work out the way it was imagined. Instead, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry withdrew from their roles and moved to Los Angeles.
It seems like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got what they wanted. The pair are, now, relocated to the former actress’ hometown with their son Archie and Queen Elizabeth even said that she and the Royal Family are “entirely supportive” of the couple’s decision.
However, royal author Tom Quinn claimed that things would not be easy for Prince Harry. He, previously, said on Channel 5’s documentary Harry & Meghan: Two Troubled Years that the Duke of Sussex would “be like a lost soul” in the US.
Journalist and broadcaster Daisy McAndrew, also, shared in the documentary that Prince Harry will certainly miss his military work, which he is known to be very passionate about.
Meanwhile, even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both decided to quit senior royal life, the latter has received more hate over it. Many believed that if the Duke of Sussex didn’t meet and marry the former Suit star, he would still be a part of the Royal Family.
On top of that, the once-close bond of Prince William and Prince Harry has changed after the younger prince married Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex seemingly confirmed all the speculations of their rift last year when he said that he and his brother are “on different paths” now.
