Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump received criticisms from netizens following their latest appearances. The two female Trumps made separate appearances earlier this week in continuation of their respective works under Trump's administration.
The Daily Express reported that several individuals slammed Donald Trump's wife and daughter for not wearing masks during the events. Aside from the no-mask appearances, they, also, reportedly, wore "inappropriate" dresses.
The First Lady hosted the launch of the "Building the Movement" youth art exhibit in front of the White House. Meanwhile, the First Daughter joined her father in North Carolina to visit the food production plant.
As part of the Be Best initiative from the East Wing, Melania Trump opened the art exhibit to honor the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment. Photos of her "hugging" and engaging with some of the children on the event went viral after the event.
The First Lady, also, posted a series of photos from the event on her social media. Considering the close contact that she had with the guests, netizens criticized her for not wearing any face covering.
Several critics, reportedly, shared their "horror" upon seeing her maskless while contacting closely and directly with the young artists. One user even commented that they should not have seen the smiles of the young kids, as well as hers, because they should all be wearing masks.
In the case of Ivanka Trump, the publication said that her detractors called her out for wearing "inappropriate" clothing as they toured around the food production plant. Based on the photo that she posted on her social media accounts, the First Daughter, reportedly, wore a dress that costs about $2000. Despite the luxurious apparel, she failed to wear a face mask, as well, just like Melania Trump.
Aside from not wearing any face covering, netizens criticized her for wearing something luxurious, which seemed "inappropriate" for that kind of setting. Several social media users, also, pointed out that it is quite "baffling" to see her standing in an expensive dress while talking about "handing food boxes" amid the pandemic crisis.
While the criticisms toward Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump have continued to develop, many of their avid fans and followers have shared their praise toward the two female Trumps. Some of them even defended the First Lady and the First Daughter, noting that their efforts in recent weeks would not go unnoticed. Several individuals, also, thanked them for their "leadership."
