Ben Affleck is, allegedly, putting on muscles more than ever because he fears that girlfriend Ana de Armas would leave him for someone who is younger and has a buff body. A tabloid claimed the actor has been working out religiously lately to bring back his perfect physique.
According to Woman's Day, Affleck's insecurity about dating a younger woman has started to get into his head. It alleged that the actor is having a midlife crisis and it made him feel insecure about his body.
The tabloid cited sources who claimed Ben has become a workout-obsessed man since he started dating de Armas. One of the sources said Affleck's main concern now is that Ana will leave him if he starts to lose his muscles.
The insider claimed Ben's motivation of keeping himself in shape was not because of the role that he would play in a movie. Apparently, it is to make sure that Ana will not leave him.
The source added the Batman actor's worries were, also, fueled by the fact that de Armas' career is starting to take off. It claimed the Knives Out actress is, now, getting more job offers than Affleck and the actor is feeling the pressure that he needs to keep up with her.
Woman's Day added that Ana's bosses barred the actress from bringing Affleck on the red carpet premiere of No Time To Die movie. This, allegedly, is a clear indication that the actress' career is getting better.
The source said Ben Affleck is, also, getting obsessed with de Armas' former boyfriends and he has been using them as his motivation to work out. Ana, on the other hand, is, reportedly, getting pissed of her boyfriend's attitude. She is hoping that it is just a phase and Ben would, eventually, stop feeling insecure about himself.
Gossip Cop debunked Woman's Day claims. It noted that the tabloid used unflattering photos of Affleck in its story to convince its readers that the actor is getting more muscular now than in the past.
It noted that the photos were taken in 2018 when Affleck was filming his movie The Way Back. Gossip Cop stressed that it would look strange if Ben showed off an impressive physique if in the movie he played the role of an alcoholic who was at the lowest moment of his life.
On the assumption that de Armas would leave Affleck because her career is getting better now, Gossip Cop pointed out that it is unfair to treat Ana as such. The outlet stressed that de Armas was, already, popular well before she started dating the Justice League actor. Gossip Cop, also, dismissed reports that Ben Affleck was banned from attending the premiere of Ana's James Bond movie.
