Chris Evans sent the online world into a frenzy after he accidentally shared an NSFW photo of himself on Instagram. Although he seemed to quickly delete the snap, knowing how the internet works, it instantly went viral, making him trend on Twitter. Now, his pal, Mark Ruffalo, and loyal fans came to his defense.

In a post on Twitter, Ruffalo said there's a "silver lining" about this situation no matter how worse it looked. He tagged Evans and said that he should never feel embarrassed about what happened, Pop Culture noted.

Knowing the 52-year-old is a critic of U.S. President Donald Trump, he told his The Avengers co-star there's nothing he could do that was totally embarrassing until Trump is in office. Ruffalo even saw this ordeal as the "silver lining about the whole thing" as Trump and his administration were always "under fire" due to a number of issues.

Evans' fans are also standing by his side, giving him their huge supportHindustan Times noted. They're asking everyone to respect his privacy after some people took a screenshot of his now-deleted post.

The Captain America: Civil War star shared a screen recording of his phone's photo gallery. However, he seemed to be unaware of its content, giving a glimpse of his nude photo on Instagram Stories.

The post was quickly removed, but the internet had already saved it. It gave birth to many memes and jokes everywhere online. So, his fans were begging everyone to stop talking about it and searching for his private snap.

They, then, discussed Evans' goodness online, saying he's a "very good man and struggled with anxiety issues." A Marvel fan account noted that people should be reminded that he suffered an anxiety disorder with "the rise of his Hollywood career before he accidentally shared his nude."

He even refused to do Captain America several times, fearing that his fame would affect him and his family. Hence, several fan accounts started to fill their timelines with the Knives Out star's photos, his rescue pup, Dodger, and his goodness to "wash out the nudes from social media searches."

One fan said Evans was trending because he's the best dog dad to the cutest dog. Another added it was good to see a lot of people on the same page, trying to protect his privacy. As of this writing, Evans has yet to break his silence about the viral photo.
