Fanwars are very real in the K-pop world. These fandoms fight almost daily to protect the group that they support, not realizing that these idols are actually friends off stage.

When PSY was dominating the charts in 2012, BTS has still not debuted. A few years later, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have joined the 42-year-old singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer in being a legend in the industry.

PSY was a former YG Entertainment artist. The company is one of the “Big 3” K-pop entertainment agencies in the last two decades. The other two are SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment.

As for BTS, they came from a fairly small company. So when RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook made their debut in 2013, they probably didn’t expect to be where they are today. Knowing their struggles in the past, ARMYs have always been very protective of the boys. They are also extremely proud of their current success.

However, some ARMYs are taking things a little too far. Instead of just focusing on BTS’ success, they compare it to other K-pop groups and solo artists. It is worth noting that this unnecessary behavior is not only limited to ARMYs, as other fandoms are also doing the same thing.

But, PSY and V have proven once again that fanwars are nothing but a waste of time. The “Gangnam Style” hitmaker recently excites a lot of K-pop fans after he posted two adorable photos of him and the BTS star on Instagram.

PSY simply captioned the snaps, “Me and V, 1231 and 1230.” These numbers represented their birthdays. PSY was born on December 31 (1231) and V on December 30 (1230).

In the photos, PSY and V can be seen hugging each other as they smile for the camera. They also appeared to be very comfortable with each other, which seemingly confirms that they have a good friendship.

As expected, people began to wonder if PSY and V are going to collaborate. Although PSY is no longer under YG Entertainment, he has founded his own company called P Nation, which is home to Jessi, Hyuna, and Dawn. Now, K-pop fans are hoping that the two megastars would release a song together.

While it is unknown why PSY and V met up, many are still hopeful that collaboration is happening soon. BTS had always been open to working with artists outside Big Hit Entertainment. In fact, Suga’s collaboration with American singer MAX called “Blueberry Eyes” was just released last week.
