YG Entertainment recently confirmed that BLACKPINK's latest feature with PUBG is the first of many collaborations before the release of BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM on October 2.

According to a report by Koreaboo, the label teased that there will be more events that will be revealed as the release date of BLACKPINK's album nears.

BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM is the first full album to be released by Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose since they debuted in 2016. The album is expected to contain 10 tracks including a potential collaboration with American rapper Cardi B.

BLACKPINK: The ALBUM is on track to become the biggest-selling Kpop girl group album in 23 years. Sales data from YG Entertainment indicate that there were already 800,000 pre-orders from fans coming from all over the world.

The release of BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM will be the culmination of the girls' series of comebacks for this year. It can be recalled that Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose kicked off 2020 with a collaboration with Lady Gaga for the song "Sour Candy." The song fared well in dance charts in the US.

They followed up the success of the song with their pre-release track "How You Like That" last June. The song received five Guinness World Records for its massive YouTube views.

The girls made a third comeback with a collaboration with Selena Gomez for the summer track "Ice Cream". BLACKPINK is expected to cap off the year with solo promotions as well as the release of their Netflix documentary entitled Light Up the Sky, Vulture reported.

In the meantime, for BLACKPINK's collaboration with the popular multiplayer game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), it was confirmed that starting September 24,  "How You Like That" will be featured as the lobby background music of the game. This will change on October 2, when BLACKPINK drops the title track to their new album.

This is exciting news for BLACKPINK fans because the lobby is a popular section of the game where all players pass through. This means that all the players will be able to listen to  Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose's new song when they enter the game. This will also be the first time that the game will feature songs from Kpop artists.

Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose's character accounts were previously revealed in the game where players can visit their personal spaces, send them gifts, and acquire special items such as special gift vouchers, outfits, and albums.
