BLACKPINK sent fans into a frenzy by dropping the teaser of their upcoming teaser "Lovesick Girls," the main track of their upcoming full album.

According to a report by Billboard, BLACKPINK posted the teaser poster for "Lovesick Girls," which will be released on October 2, at 12 am EST and 1 pm KST.

The song is believed to be the title track of BLACKPINK: The Album, which will drop on the same day.

Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose have been steadily dropping teaser images for the concept of their comeback album. Based on the initial photos, the BLACKPINK members will take on an edgy concept for the new album, similar to their previous releases.

The cover of the album also takes on a minimalist tone with a black background simply adorned by four different types of crowns to represent Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose as Kpop queens.

BLACKPINK: The Album is expected to contain 10 songs that members have recorded for over a year. They previously released two tracks including "How You Like That" last June and "Ice Cream" last August. The two songs were well received by BLINKs even though they had opposite flavors.

"How You Like That" delivered on BLACKPINK's fierce stage presence and fashion style. It also won the Song of Summer Award at the MTV's Video Music Awards.

"Ice Cream," BLACKPINK's collaboration with Selena Gomez, fared well in the music charts and entered the Top 20 of Billboard's Hot 100.

To usher in the release of BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose will hold a special one-hour countdown to meet their global fans, Koreaboo reported.

The countdown will be held via VLive broadcast at 10 am KST and 9 pm EST, three hours before the album is released.

As part of the countdown, BLACKPINK will introduce the tracks of the album and play fun games with the fans. They will also be reading and granting wishes from BLINKS worldwide which were sent through the hashtag #BP_WISHES.

Meanwhile, fans are already excited about the new songs that BLACKPINK will release for their first full album. Earlier rumors hinted that one of the tracks will feature a collaboration with American rapper Cardi B.

Apart from the promotions of their album, BLACKPINK is also set to promote their Netflix documentary Light Up the Sky which will be released on the streaming platform on October 14.
