ARMYs are not just supporters of BTS, but they are well-trained detectives. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have been leaving easter eggs for years, and fans have spent countless hours cracking the codes.
There are times that ARMYs succeeded with their detective works, but sometimes they fail with their theories. Despite that, fans still keep trying their luck in solving BTS mysteries.
One of those mysteries was V’s Twitter post in mid-August. The BTS star took snaps of himself getting glammed up. He was wearing a gray floral tuxedo with a black shirt underneath. The hairstylist’s hand can also be seen slicking his hair back with hair spray.
While V didn’t say anything about why he was all dressed up, ARMYs knew it was something big. As always, there was no shortage of theories. A little over a month later, they finally solved the mystery.
On September 29, Variety magazine shared a sneak peek of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s photoshoot for its cover. The clip showed BTS in matching suits, but detective ARMYs confirmed that V’s Twitter post was taken during that day.
Eagle-eyed ARMYs spotted a couple of snaps from the photoshoots on one of the monitors. There, V can be seen wearing the mysterious gray floral tuxedo. Finally, the fandom can sleep in peace. One mystery down, thousands more to go.
Back in June, ARMYs also solved Jin’s six-month mystery, BTS tweeted a photo of the singer's extremely wide shoulders. Everybody knows that Jin has broad shoulders, but nobody knew that they could poke someone’s eyes out like in the snap.
But, the behind-the-scenes footage of Run BTS! Episode 104 finally revealed that Jin was wearing a puffed shirt that made his shoulders even wider than they already were. Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook couldn’t stop laughing at how he looked and decided to take a photo of him.
Being the best Hyung that he is, Jin didn’t mind his members teasing and even laughed with them as they posted the snap on Twitter. “As long as you guys are happy,” he said.
Jin, Suga, and J-Hope’s sunflower headpieces in Incheon Airport also haunted ARMYs for months. Many were baffled why the three boys wore their flashiest accessories yet in June 2019. It was later revealed in Run BTS! Episode 94 that it was a penalty from the game they lost. Another mystery was solved. On to the next one!
