Princess Eugenie had her very first public appearance online after sharing the good news that she is pregnant with her first baby. The York princess joined a webinar on human trafficking on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for the charity she co-founded called The Anti-Slavery Collective.
The Queen's granddaughter was with her friend, Julia de Boinville, and the executives of the Traffik Analysis Hub for the virtual appearance, where they discussed a new global data that provides information on human trafficking, according to The Anti-Slavery Collective. Princess Eugenie's baby bump, however, wasn't obvious from the webinar but she appeared to have that pregnancy glow.
The York princess is not a working royal and rarely represents her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, at official functions. This charity is a personal advocacy for the daughter of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
Meanwhile, as her due date nears, Princess Eugenie won't likely have a typical baby shower. By Thursday, Nov. 5, the U.K. will begin its second nationwide lockdown, which means that gatherings and engagements will be put on hold until the first week of December.
According to Daily Express, the princess could still have a virtual baby shower with family and friends. A royal expert thinks that Eugenie might even have a virtual gender reveal. Omid Scobie shared in The HeirPod podcast show that he's expecting the York royal to open a TikTok account during the second lockdown and then do a fun gender reveal.
The excitement surrounding Princess Eugenie's baby is also on the rise among royal fans who keep speculating what she and husband Jack Brooksbank will name their first-born baby. According to BetVictor, the most popular pick for the baby's name is Alice, if Princess Eugenie has a girl, and Arthur or Henry, if the royal has a boy.
Alice is the name of Prince Philip's mother, who is Eugenie's great-grandmother. Arthur and Henry, on the other hand, are popular royal names. Princes Charles, William and Louis have Arthur as their middle name.
Speculations and betting odds regarding Eugenie and Jack's first baby apparently changed in the slightest since the announcement in September. Back then, Victoria was the top baby name pick if Eugenie and Jack's first-born child would be a girl.
Princess Eugenie and Jack's first baby will also be the first grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. He or she will be Queen Elizabeth' ninth great-grandchild and will take the 11th line to the British throne.
