A recently concluded benchmark test shows that the iPhone 12 Pro is faster in loading apps compared to Samsung Note 20 Ultra.

During Apple's "Hi, Speed" event on October 13, officials of the Cupertino-based tech giant extolled the new iPhone 12 family, saying that with its A14 Bionic chip, it may be the fastest smartphone in the market today. This assertion proved true in the recently concluded real world app loading speed test where the iPhone 12 Pro successfully beat Samsung's Note 20 ultra.

PhoneBuff, a technology-based social media company, conducted the speed test which showed Apple's iPhone 12 Pro beating Samsung's Note 20 Ultra in app loading speed. The test also showed that Samsung Note 20 Ultra's Snapdragon 856 chip and 12 GB RAM is no match for the iPhone 12 Pro's A14 chip and 6 GB RAM.

Apple's A14 Bionic is a powerful 5nM silicon chip with processing power that is almost equal to that of an Intel multi-core processor. The A14 Bionic chip underwent several tests in the past and nearly all of the performance tests, it performed beyond expectations. The recently-conducted test of Apple's iPhone 12 Pro versus Samsung's Note 20 Ultra in app loading speed also proved just that. Even with just 6 GB of RAM, the iPhone 12 managed to beat Samsung's 12 GB RAM smartphone.

The app loading speed test measured the time it took for each smartphone to launch a series of apps. Both Apple's iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung's Note 20 Ultra launched the same series of apps which include Microsoft apps, Facebook, the phones' camera apps, Adobe Rush, some games, and many more.

Apple's iPhone 12 Pro is way ahead of Samsung's Note 20 Ultra in the test category which included video rendering using Adobe Rush and also maintained its lead when opening several games. The iPhone 12 Pro is also well ahead of the Note 20 Ultra in the category that examined both smartphones' app loading speed test. When launching the apps, the iPhone 12 Pro averaged one minute and 41 seconds, while Samsung's Note 20 Ultra averaged one minute and 55 seconds in performing the same tasks.

During the second phase of the app loading speed, PhoneBuff examined the performance of the iPhone 12 Pro and Note 20 Ultra in keeping apps running in the background. This particular test showed Apple's iPhone 12 Pro averaging 42 seconds while the Note 20 Ultra averaged 46 seconds.

Previous tests performed by PhoneBuff on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra against other smartphones, results showed that the Galaxy Note Ultra beat each one in every test, making it the best-performing mobile device available on the market at the time. With the arrival of the iPhone 12 Pro, Samsung's reign ended.
