BTS Jungkook was voted as People Magazine's first Sexiest International Man. The BTS maknae was voted by fans of the magazine's online poll.
Voting was opened last month and covered different categories like "Sexiest Brothers" and "Sexiest Content in Quarantine."
Jungkook took home the top spot for the Sexiest International Man category, as fans gushed over his perfect visuals, on-stage appeal, and his sexy dance moves. According to some of the voters, even the act of drinking water becomes a sexy event when Jungkook is doing it, Koreaboo reported.
It can be recalled that Jungkook even flipped the downtrend in milk sales in the US in August after fans spotted him downing a glass at the opening sequence of BTS' "Dynamite" MV.
Fans were not surprised about the turnout, celebrating Jungkook's accomplishment on social media, Free Press Journal reported.
Before winning the title, Jungkook was pitted against four formidable contenders - Canadian Dan Levy, an actor who is known for his role in Schitt's Creek; Aussie singer Keith Urban, who well known for his music and judging stint for American Idol. He is also married to Nicole Kidman; Golden Globe nominee and Emmy winner Matthew Rhys, and 24-year old Irish actor Paul Mescal.
BTS was nominated for the Sexiest Chart-Topper category but lost out to former One Direction member Harry Styles.
As for People's Sexiest Man for 2020, Black Panther's Michael B. Jordan beat out top contenders and former titleholders to win this year's honor.
This year's accolade went to Jordan, whose acting credits include the critically acclaimed Fruitvale Station, Creed, and the upcoming Tom Clancy book adaptation Without Remorse.
In an interview, the actor said that his friends and family have been ribbing him not to get his hopes up because the title might not be one that he could get. He said it was a cool feeling to receive the honor.
Captain America Chris Evans trailed Jordan to take second place. Emily in Paris' Lucas Bravo surged to third place after the show became a massive hit on Netflix. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took fourth place while Paul Mescal who was also nominated for Sexiest International Man, landed in sixth place for the Sexiest Men poll, People reported
Columbian singer Maluma, Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal, Chris Rock, Paul Rudd, former football star John David Washington, former Sexiest Man Brad Pitt, and The Good Place's Manny Jacinto round up this year's Top 10. People Magazine's Sexiest Man issue will come out on November 20.
