Johnny Depp remains at the center of various controversies. Following his battle with Amber Heard, allegations, as well as fiction narratives, continue to emerge involving him with other celebrities.

Gossip Cop covered one of the latest claims about the Fantastic Beast actor. The report comes after Woman's Day released an article centering on the actor and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Supposed insiders stated that the two prominent Hollywood celebrities are set to take their "25-year feud" to the "next level." The reported rift started more than two decades after their stint at What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

The two lead stars allegedly have had "distaste" for one another. In Depp's case, he felt "threatened" over DiCaprio's talent, adding that things became worse when the latter obtained an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

The sources, also, added that Johnny Depp has since "refused" to watch Leonardo DiCaprio's films. This, then, reportedly, caused "awkward" moments between their mutual friends.

However, Gossip Cop clarified that none of these claims are true. While the feuding narrative is no longer new, the publication still looked after the truth to end all the debacle, once and for all.

Based on the analysis, the feuding allegations seemingly began when the Secret Window actor revealed what he felt about his co-star. Amid the promotion for What's Eating Gilbert Grapes in the early 1990s, Johnny Depp stated that he "tortured" Leonardo DiCaprio on set.

He explained that filming What's Eating Gilbert Grapes was a "hard time" for him. He shared about how the then-19-year-old DiCaprio would always talk about video games and bumming cigarettes.

Instead of giving the teenage celebrity his wants, he said that he would talk to him out of it. While he may have, truly, "tortured" him in this manner, this does not necessarily mean that they dislike each other.

The actor did not reveal further details of how he "tortured" the Titanic star. In the end, though, he applauded and praised Leonardo DiCaprio for his talents.

Cheat Sheet explored Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio's friendship through the years. In 2016, the Sweeney Todd actor shared how much he respects the Inception star.

He continued that DiCaprio "worked hard" and spent time "researching" for his role. He added that the actor would always come ready to set, noting that his ducks were always "in a row."

Through Depp's words, reports concluded that the two celebrities share a respectful friendship with each other. While the public does not often see them together, it appears that their time together at What's Eating Gilbert Grapes have always stayed with them.
