"Cyberpunk 2077" is finally out eight years after it was announced. One of the biggest questions among players right now is the length of time it would need to complete the new action RPG title. While some are players are looking at around 100 hours because of the game's content, this is really how long it would take to beat the game's main story.

Just like any game, it is impossible to tell the exact length of "Cyberpunk 2077" since everyone would have a different experience. According to GamesRadar, it took them between 15 and 20 hours to finish the main missions of the game. However, doing this would the player's overall experience of the game since they would miss a lot of essential aspects that are tied to the main story.

Players could still beat the game this way, but they would not get the best ending there is in "Cyberpunk 2077." Meanwhile, Screenrant shared that most players could beat the game in approximately 45 to 50 hours. It added that players rushing the game could even reach one of the game's ending in just a matter of 30 to 40 hours.

The length of time to finish "Cyberpunk 2077" is longer for players who love to explore the game's side content. This playstyle could beat the game somewhere between 70 to 100 hours or more. For players who want to uncover everything in the game, including finishing all side missions and gigs, purchasing all upgrades and vehicles, and maxing out their character level, it could take them between 80 and 100 hours of estimated playtime.

However, this will still depend on the player's skill level and the difficulty that they are playing on. For completionists, 100 hours might not be enough as they usually spend time completing side missions and the game's extra and optional content. Playtimes definitely vary based on how people play "Cyberpunk 2077." Most players could finish the main story in less than 45 hours, though.

That is actually a lot of content even for those who ignore the majority of the game's optional content. Compared to the highly successful game from CD Projekt Red's "The Witcher 3," "Cyberpunk 2077" is a little shorter. In one of their previous interviews, devs at CDPR shared that it was a conscious decision to make the game's main story a bit shorter. It was influenced by some players' complaints that "The Witcher 3" is too long that they have not yet finished the game.
