Tesla has a welcome problem that Elon Musk described as "high-class." The company CEO reported that the demand is high for Tesla EVs in the last quarter of 2020 and employees of the automaker must work double-time to increase production.

The company has set a goal of delivering 500,000 units in 2020 and as the leaked email of Musk has indicated, the current production level is falling short of the high demand. The company boss is urging his workforce to boost their efforts this December.

According to Bloomberg, the target is to roll out 181,000 EVs in the month and these units will be supplied by Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai. The bulk of the production increase will mostly consist of the Model 3 but the automaker is also seen to make a big assembly push on the Model Y crossover.

"We are fortunate to have a high-class problem of demand being quite a bit higher than production this quarter," Musk was reported as saying.

The CEO is looking to sustain Tesla's incredible growth trajectory in the last few quarters. If the set production numbers are met at the end of the year, the automaker will post an impressive growth of 30%, coming from the September quarter.

And per the same report, Tesla is deliberately making known to the world that the company's production is in high gear and demand for the products is exploding. The purpose is to make investors even more confident and excited about Tesla's prospects.

Already, the automaker exceeded market expectations. Its 600% surge in shares value is but the affirmation that it is now the most valuable company in the automobile industry.

The latest update and encouragement sent out by Musk is part of his campaign to rally the Tesla workforce to the important goals of increasing production and continuing the record profit figures. The company chief is hammering down on his message that growth can only be sustained by ramping up on the manufacturing aspect.

On this, Electrek noted that Musk made clear in earlier communications with the Tesla community that the company cannot afford to be complacent. He pushed for the profit to continue on its north-bound path lest the Tesla stock would suffer in the long run.

In highlighting the importance of achieving Tesla's goals, Musk called on his employees to come forward and provide the ideas that would see the production figures going up. The CEO said he is ready to hear new voices if only to boost the automaker's last quarter output, which according to him is a matter of urgency.
