Kate Middleton's younger sister, Pippa Middleton Matthews, is reportedly investing in a new business venture following reports that she's pregnant with her second child with husband James Matthews.
According to reports, the Matthews couple seems keen on developing and improving a popular deer park in Berkshire, England, called the Bucklebury Farm. The site is located just a few minutes away from the Middleton family home. As kids, Kate and Pippa, along with their family, used to frequent the farm for its nature trails and farming activities.
Real estate agents won't confirm the anonymous buyer for Bucklebury Farm. However, a spokesperson for the couple said that this would be a business opportunity, rather than a residential investment, for Pippa and James. Last October, the property was on the market when rumors swirled that someone from the Middletons showed interest, which turned out to be Pippa.
The news comes as Pippa was seen out in London on Tuesday for the first time since the confirmation that she is heavy with child. Kate's 37-year-old sister was out walking with her firstborn son, Arthur, 2.
Pippa's husband is a hedge fund billionaire whose family also owns St. Barts' very exclusive Eden Rock hotel and resort. High profile celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt have been to this hideaway.
Sources close to the Matthews couple, who married in 2017, said that they are "thrilled" for the pregnancy amid this pandemic. The Duchess of Cambridge is also happy about the baby news.
However, it's unclear if Pippa and Kate will see each other during the holidays because of the COVID-19 restrictions in the U.K. The Duchess of Cambridge said in early December that she is still not sure of the family's Christmas plans with Prince William and their kids, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have spent Christmas in Sandringham since Prince George was born and then meet up with the Middleton's side of the family only after Christmas Day. However, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are isolating for the holidays in Windsor Castle, and other members of the royal family have been told they are to set their own Christmas plans.
Kate is very close to her sister and younger brother, James. Pippa was the Duchess of Cambridge's maid of honor during her royal wedding to Prince William in 2011. Princess Charlotte and Prince George were part of Pippa's wedding entourage.
