The online multiplayer survival game "Among Us" is all about deception and schemes. At the beginning of each round, players are given a couple of roles; either a Crewmate, who needs to complete simple tasks and survive the round, or an Impostor, whose only goal is to kill the entire crew before they complete their tasks. While there is no surefire way to be the Impostor in every game, these tips and tricks could increase the player's chances of being one.

How To Be An impostor In Every "Among Us" Game

"Among us" selects a players' role in a random manner, which means there is no trick that they could use to influence their chances of being the Impostor in each lobby that they join. But, if players create their own lobby, there are several ways that they could increase the odds of becoming an Impostor, which includes tweaking some of the settings of the game.

One way to increase the player's chance of becoming the Impostor is by increasing the total number of Impostors. "Among Us" currently allows three maximum players to take the role of an Impostor in every game. Innersloth has not yet revealed if it has any plans to increase the number in the upcoming update. Setting the number of Impostors to three is the player's best bet.

The lobby host can edit the game settings by using the Customize laptop in the waiting room, opening the Game tab and increasing the # Impostors to three. They must use the + symbol. With this method, players increase their chances from 10% to 30%.

Other Trick To become An impostor in "Among Us"

Another method of increasing the player's chance of being the Impostor in every "Among Us" game is by changing hats rapidly. When the lobby is full and the countdown starts, players must go to the customization station and swap hats continually until the game loads. It is important that players must constantly choose new hats until they see the "Shhhhh!" display.

It is worth noting that these strategies do not assure that players would become an Impostor in "Among Us" each time they try these strategies. However, there are some players who swear that they get the Impostor role more often when they tried these methods. It could be a placebo effect or probably just a superstition. But, who knows, if these tricks increase the players' chances of becoming an Impostor, there's no harm in trying.

"Among Us" is now available on PC, iOS and Android devices.
