BTS has such a tight bond that it’s hard to point out who is closer with who. While it’s easy to assume that the hyung line is much closer with each other and the maknae line has a better relationship, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s age doesn’t determine who they are close with.
In fact, Jin, the eldest member of BTS, is extremely close with the three youngest members, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Despite his age gap with the maknae line, it’s easy to mistake Mr. Worldwide Handsome as one of them because of his youthful looks and playful personality. It is worth noting that Jin was given the title “Fake Maknae” because of his silly ways.
Back in 2017, Jin and V even wore matching airport outfits. Many probably thought that their close bond was the reason why they decided to sport the same attire that day. However, the real reason behind their couple outfit is a lot less sweet than that.
The truth is that Jin and V unintentionally wore the same outfit that day, and none of them was willing to back down and change. “We fought, saying I wore it first, and we told each other to take them off,” Jin shared.
As it turns out, it was their stubbornness that led Jin and V to arrive at the airport wearing an identical ensemble. But that’s not all; the “Moon” singer publicly “cut ties” with the younger member just a day before their outing.
V posted a photo of him and Jin on Twitter, but the latter was not happy about it. The 28-year-old singer and songwriter was making a wacky face and was probably not too pleased that the “Sweet Night” singer was sabotaging his Worldwide Handsome status.
“No... that’s too much–“ Jin commented, and followed up with, “cutting ties.”
Now that the truth is out there, the story behind Jin and V’s couple outfit is definitely not an UwU moment. However, their “cutting ties” and stubbornness still made them adorable as they walked at the airport as if they meant to wear those outfits.
Meanwhile, Jin shared in Break The Silence: The Movie that he decided to only show his bright side to the fans and not his darker side. The BTS star explained that after knowing that their fans are affected by their emotions, he wanted to be happy to make ARMYs happy as well.
