Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have to get used to their status as non-working members of the British royal family as their chances of returning to public service with The Firm have been described as "dead in the water."

A report from the Daily Mail stated that there's "zero" chance Meghan and Harry will be asked back to work for the royal family again after March 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made choices in the last year that basically prevents them from returning as full-time royals.

The source said that Harry and Meghan's commercial deals with Netflix and Spotify have essentially sealed their fate. If the Sussexes were still keen on working for the monarchy, they would have to undo their contracts with these media outfits.

But as it is, Meghan and Harry are just getting started. The couple is expected to release their new programs with Netflix and Spotify this year.

However, the source clarified that there is no anger or animosity between the Sussexes and the royal family. Yet, they have to abide by Queen Elizabeth's straightforward decision that Harry and Meghan can't have the perks of both worlds.

The Sussexes cannot be working royals and still acquire millions of dollars in commercial deals. Needless to say, Harry and Meghan's royal exit should be seen as a permanent arrangement since their contracts will run be in effect for many years.

It comes as an exclusive report hinted that Meghan might jump back into the acting if she gets offered the "right role." Filmmaker Jia Wertz told Daily Star that she expects the Duchess of Sussex to make a splash in Tinsel Town this 2021.

Wertz said that Meghan might not get back into her former career as an actress right away. However, the filmmaker also doesn't doubt that the ex-TV star will consider the offer if there's a role perfect for her, be it a cameo or a guest role.

Meanwhile, Harry's former biographer, Angela Levin, slammed the royal in a new op-ed piece via the Sunday Telegraph. The royal author criticized the Duke of Sussex for being meek towards his "woke" wife that he has become an "airy-fairy do-gooder."

Levin said that Harry seems to have accepted his role as second only to Meghan by adopting her lifestyle. The royal expert called out Harry's most recent change in his accent and use of California language, while "tucked away" in the mansion he shares with Meghan as they close one multi-million commercial deal after another.
