U.S. authorities are seeking a Pennsylvania woman whose former lover alleged she stole a laptop from U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the U.S. Capitol riots Jan. 6.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has an arrest warrant for Riley June Williams. Her unidentified partner said Williams intended to send the laptop to an associate in Russia who would then sell it to that country's foreign intelligence service.

In an affidavit, FBI Special Agent Jonathan Lund said the partner alleged the transfer of the laptop "fell through for unknown reasons" and that Williams either still had it or had destroyed it.

The 22-year old Williams hasn't been charged with theft. She has been accused of violent entry and disorderly conduct after being seen participating in the disturbances.

Video shows Williams directing fellow rioters and urging them to "Go! Go! Up the stairs."

The FBI continues to investigate.

Williams remains on the run after having fled from her home following the arrest warrant.

The affidavit said after Williams returned home from the Capitol she packed and told her mother she would be gone "for a couple of weeks." "It appears that Williams has fled," local law enforcement said.

Drew Hammill, Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, confirmed Jan. 8 a laptop was stolen from a conference room but said it "used for presentations" only.

Several others have been arrested in connection with the Capitol attack and the FBI said hundreds more might eventually be charged.

Lund said Williams had deleted her Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Parler, Telegram and Reddit accounts and changed her phone number.
