Jujutsu Kaisen may have only started, but it's already conquering the world of anime. As Season 1 is continuously wowing the audience with its eccentric storyline, will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 come to fruition?

With its success, it's not far that fans are about to see Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Yuji Itadori may continue his journey to find and consume Sukana's 20 cursed fingers to defeat the mighty Cursed Spirit.

The first season is currently airing and now on its 14th episode. In total, Season 1 has 24 episodes to drop, so it still has ten episodes to reveal before it concludes.

Unlike the first season, which has two cours, Monsters & Critics noted the second season might only be a single cour, based on its source material. Anyhow, it'll still take a couple of months before fans will see Season 1's end.

Gege Akutami himself earlier revealed he already planned out the end for the series' manga version. So, he had mapped the major plot points of the story.

However, it's not quite usual that the manga will continue beyond his planned ending. Akutami didn't reveal the number of volumes or chapters it would have and only said it would be approximately 21 volumes or 200 chapters. Anyhow, he said it as an April Fool's joke.

If the anime and manga maintain the hype, there are strong assumptions Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will be in the works. With the length of the series that it's about to take, it may even go beyond Seasons 3, 4, and more.

To prove its success, the franchise has conquered Crunchyroll's Anime Awards, celebrating the best anime in 2020, Polygon noted. The streaming service recently announced its nominees on different categories, including the most popular anime shows, including Jujutsu Kaisen.

Some of the nominations it received are Anime of the Year. Best Boy goes to Satoru Gojou, Best Protagonist to Itadori, and Best Antagonist to Ryoumen Sukuna. It's also nominated for Best Animation, while the fight between Gojou and Sukuna gets the nomination for the Best Fight Scene.

Sunghoo Park is nominated for Best Director, while Yuichi Nakamura is for Best VA Performance (JP). "Kaikai Kitan" by Eve and "Lost in Paradise" by Ali feat Aklo get the nominations for Best Opening Sequence (OP) and Best Ending Sequence (ED), respectively.

So far, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 is yet to end, but it already has an 8.7 rating on IMDb. If this continues, fans may soon see an order for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
