Prince Harry has, reportedly, written a tell-all about the life of his mother, Princess Diana, but he's getting some jeers for it among royal fans who said that he's not protecting his mother's legacy.

A report from New Idea stated that Harry had a ghostwriter pen the "truth" behind his mother's life. The book is set for release with a U.S. publisher but the source also said it's unclear if Queen Elizabeth, the royal family or Buckingham Palace know about the deal.

The news apparently came from a Twitter user named @HarryMarkled and some royal fans said that Harry has been playing the mother card again. Late last year, Harry and Meghan unveiled the cover page of their new website for Archewell, their foundation, which was dedicated to Diana and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were criticized for featuring their moms. Royal correspondent Charlie Rae said that the couple has been using their mothers' profiles, especially Princess Diana, as a "hook to make money."

But it's not just Harry who has a book deal. According to royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, Meghan has gotten some serious offers as well and everything is under consideration.

In 2019, the Duchess of Sussex was said to be writing a children's book. According to the source, Meghan has been quite excited about releasing her fiction, which is, allegedly, a story about rescue animals. However, no book has materialized in the wake of her exit with Harry as a working royal in 2020.

After the Sussex pair quit, royal experts said that they plan on following the career trajectory of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Just like the former White House power couple, Harry and Meghan signed up with a speaking agency, as well as secured media deals with Netflix and Spotify. Speculations are that the deals on the table will be a book release.

It comes amid reports that Meghan could release a memoir in response to her sister, Samantha Markle, whose book, The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister Part 1, hit U.S. shelves in early February.

First announced in 2017, Samantha's book includes a series of wild claims, including how Meghan dropped her sister's call soon after she started dating Harry. Samantha also said that her royal sister dissed her in an online chatroom.

Harry has never met Meghan's side of the family but he was able to talk to his wife's father, Thomas Markle, whom the duchess has been estranged since 2018. Meanwhile, Meghan has, reportedly, not had any "real" relationship with Samantha since 2008.
