Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, sent flowers to her best friend, Jessica Mulroney, who was celebrating her birthday in Canada. The mother-of-three shared the flowers and card she received from Markle in an Instagram story.

Mulroney shared a photo of a bouquet of pink roses and thanked the sender, "MM," referring to Prince Harry's wife. Mulroney also said that she is the "luckiest friend" to have "MM" in her life.

The stylist turned 41 on March 14 and despite their distance, her decade-long friendship with Markle has remained warm. In June 2020, however, the two were rumored to have a falling out after Mulroney was accused of racist bullying on social media.

Markle kept quiet while Mulroney received a barrage of criticisms for her misunderstanding with Black Instagram influencer Sasha Exeter, forcing her to take a break online. She also quit her job as a style correspondent on TV shows in Canada and the U.S.

In September 2020, however, the stylist debunked stories that Markle ended their friendship because of this controversy. Speaking to People, Mulroney said that the former Meghan Markle is the "kindest friend" who checked up on her every day when she was at her lowest moment.

Mulroney would return the favor and support Markle amid claims that she bullied at least three of her staff in Kensington Palace while she was a working royal. In an Instagram post, Mulroney shared an old photo of herself with her best friend and wrote that Markle hasn't wavered from showing "kindness, empathy and love" in the midst of the pressures of her very public life.

Markle became close to the stylist while they worked on Suits. According to Us Weekly, Mulroney chose the wedding dress for the actress character, Rachel Zane, in her final episode for the U.S. TV series.

However, it was also Us Weekly that broke the story of Markle and Mulroney's falling out last year. A source told the news outlet that Markle had to distance herself because of Mulroney's disagreement with Exeter while an insider said that the two pals were no longer close like before.

In November of last year, Mulroney confessed that she became "suicidal" because of the allegations of white privilege. In an exclusive on Page Six, she said that she developed anxiety that became severe depression and led to her suicidal thoughts.

Mulroney also said that she and Meghan Markle talk about racism but she has learned a lot more after the rift with Exeter and is trying to move on from this episode. Meanwhile, the stylist refuses to talk about her royal best friend in the press to protect her from criticisms.
