Edens Zero has finally hit the small screen three years after Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail ended. As many miss an epic adventure from the mangaka himself, Shiki begins his new intergalactic journey.

Also known as the Demon King of the spaceship, Shiki's story officially begins in Edens Zero on April 11. Now that its numbers of episodes are finally revealed, it looks like he will be gracing fans' TV monitor for a long while.

The franchise's official Twitter account revealed international fans would get to see the new anime series through Netflix. According to Epic Dope, the streaming giant would be releasing the show worldwide, starting in fall 2021.

Mashima himself shared an image to commemorate the new anime's official premiere, featuring the lead characters, Shiki, Rebecca, and the latter's cat, Happy. Did fans notice these three's similarities to Fairy Tail's Natsu, Lucy, and its own Happy?

However, compared to Fairy Tail, which is mostly about supernatural creatures and magic, Edens Zero features technology, aliens, and space travel. They have the same storyline, though, featuring the story of friendship between two people and a cat.

In addition, there will be an Edens Zero 3D RPG game developed by Konami that will be out on consoles and mobile devices.

Meanwhile, the anime is part of the big spring 2021 anime releases, and it finally drops its episode order. The show debuts on the Chinese streaming service iQIYI, and Twitter user Airs_News01 revealed it would have a total of 25 episodes, Comicbook noted.

However, no one has officially confirmed this episode count yet, so fans should only take it with a grain of salt. But with a big release like this, it may only be befitting that it will feature 25 episodes.

Mashima's Edens Zero started as a manga series that launched in 2018, per CBR. So far, it has dropped 14 volumes, and the story is still ongoing. It features a future scenario that shows humanity in the universe, along with the robots--both good and bad.

Shiki then meets a young woman named Rebecca, a B-cuber, who is looking for new content for her vlog, along with her cat, Happy. The two instantly become friends and start a new journey in the galaxy to find the "Mother" of all creation.

Edens Zero will start airing every Sunday of the week. As it now begins, fans are about to see more.
