It is 420 feet long, provides maximum comfort and style - and costs half a billion dollars.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has bought himself a boat as he looks to a more relaxed life, the Evening Standard reported Tuesday.

The billionaire's new ocean ride is one of the most expensive megayachts built. The boat is so big it requires its own "support yacht," Bloomberg Wealth said.

Known only by its project name, Y721, the yacht will be as long as the Great Pyramid of Giza is high and includes a swimming pool and theater.

The multideck craft is equipped with a helicopter landing pad so Bezos's girlfriend Lauren Sánchez, 51 - a licensed pilot - can join him.

Bezos, the world's richest man, is currently estimated to be worth almost $200 billion, the Standard said.

Oceanco, the boat's Dutch builder, hasn't released many details about the yacht and didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Netherlands is the unofficial capital of boat-building for the ultrarich, according to Bloomberg.

Bezos was photographed in 2019 aboard Hollywood billionaire David Geffen's superyacht off the coast of Spain. At the time, Bezos was with model Karlie Kloss, Josh Kushner and former Goldman Sachs chief executive Lloyd Blankfein.

The luxury yacht market has flourished during the coronavirus pandemic as tycoons poured money into ever-more-expensive boats to avoid crowds.
