"Jujutsu Kaisen" has now entered a new height after the defeat of the Zen'in clan. Maki has successfully fulfilled her promise to Mai, destroying everything about their family.

Now that the Zen'in clan is not as strong as before, what will happen to its status?

Maki receives a huge character development after tearing her own family down. For the past four chapters, the second-year student had dominated the series, unleashing her full power and ability to bring down the leaders of the Zen'in clan.

After beheading the family's head, she had killed the group's boss, Naoya and obliterated the whole clan. And she did not just stop there, Comicbook noted.

Maki even looked for other members who were not at the compound during the slaughter. She found six Hei unit members and 21 Kukuru unit members, who all died without a trace.

Thanks to her new weapon imbued with curse energy, she managed to do this all without sweat. However, it remains to be seen where she is located this time.

Now that the Zen'in clan is gone, the family may be removed from the big three lines "Jujutsu Kaisen" has. Though its status' decision has yet to be made, Gojo and Kamo clans seem to approve of the removal.

If no decision is soon passed on, Maki may take this matter into her own hands. Anyhow, after the jaw-dropping events of Chapter 152, the manga is now on hiatus.

The demands that come with making an internationally successful series seem to have taken its toll on its creator, Gege Akutami. Shueisha's editorial department announced the manga's break as the mangaka focuses on his health and recovery.

Followig Chapter 152, the manga will be on hold and may return after a month or so. After apologizing to fans for taking a somewhat lengthy holiday, Akutami releases a second statement, giving a precise reason as to why he has to go on a break.

In a post translated into English by Viz Media, the manga creator stresses he does not have "any kind of serious health issue."

"All I need is a half-day to do the storyboards," he reveals. "But I was spending two and a half days in the [flat on stomach] position you see here before I could actually start that half-day."

Things started to turn for the worse from here, specifically his health. His regular chiropractor has moved away and all the eateries are already closed when he wakes up.

From here, he will be publishing "some art in the rough draft stage" and all these things pile up and result in his situation. When he returns, Akutami promises to do his best and treat "Jujutsu Kaisen" as a new series.
