All eyes are now on Britney Spears as she breaks her silence over the conservatorship that has put her life on hold since 2008.

Fans allege her father, Jamie Spears, has been holding her life against her will through the court-bestowed conservatorship. Now, it is the best time for Britney to speak the truth.

In the 39-year-old star's call for freedom, she made a 25-minute monologue to ask the court to end what she called "abusive conservatorship." The emotional and frustrated hitmaker called out all the people behind it - saying "those responsible for enforcing it, including her dad, should be in jail."

Britney's conservatorship has been enforced since 2008. At the time, she had a mental illness that made her deemed unable to stand for herself.

According to The Guardian, Jamie's lawyers have claimed her father saved her life by working as her conservator. However, fans and #FreeBritney movement supporters alike, along with legal advocates and Congress members, are now questioning the extent of this arrangement.

They are citing her ability to work and perform for years, like her several Las Vegas residencies, prove that being under a conservatorship is no longer needed.

Britney made several shocking revelations about her conservatorship. This includes preventing her from removing her intrauterine device - a birth control measure.

She also cannot marry her boyfriend of five years, Sam Asghari. "This so-called team won't let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don't want me to have any more children," she tells the court through the phone, BBC noted.

Britney also reveals she has been traumatized and crying every day - telling the Los Angeles judge that she wants her life back. When the magistrate asks her to calm down, she wishes she can stay on the phone forever so that she will not have to return to life surrounded by people who always oppose her.

She then asks for her conservatorship to end and describes it as "embarrassing and humiliating." She also admits she is not happy and OK, despite telling the world she is.

"I've been in denial. I've been in shock. I am traumatized," Britney continues. "I'm not happy. I can't sleep. I'm so angry it's insane. And I'm depressed. I cry every day."

Britney also reveals she has no idea she can ask to file for a petition to end her conservatorship, which she says is doing her "more harm than good."
