It looks like whatever thing Irina Shayk and Kanye West had is over. Rumor has it the rapper asked the model to a couture show in Paris but was rejected.
Sources told Page Six Shayk liked West as a friend - and there was no chance of a relationship. The sources said Bradley Cooper's ex intentionally turned down the offer to avoid being in the headlines.
"She doesn't want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up (in Paris with him,)" the source said. "It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating."
Shayk and West were first seen together in Provence, France, on the Yeezy designer's 44th birthday in June. It resulted in a bunch of headlines that they were dating.
The two were last spotted arriving in the U.S. after returning from France.
The source added Shayk accompanied West as a friend and there were 50 other people with them. After her breakup with Cooper, the Russian stunner didn't want a relationship.
She has no intention of being with any guy now and is happily single.
Ever since Shayk and West were seen together, rumors emerged their relationship was not really new, InStyle said. They met on the set of his music video for "Power" in 2010.
Shayk also graced his Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2012 show during Paris Fashion Week. Sources close to the artist said he always felt a connection and even "had a thing" for her.
So, when he and Kim Kardashian divorced, she was the first woman who came to mind. He took a shot, it worked and they were seen together.
A different source told Us Weekly that West already saw Shayk as someone special back when they were filming his music video. He was stunned by her beauty.
The source confirmed he made the first move.
