TVING has finally confirmed the coming of "Work Later, Drink Now" Season 2 on Wednesday, Dec. 15. Lee Sun-bin, Han Sun-hwa, Apink's Jung Eun-ji and Super Junior's Choi Siwon will return for a hilarious new season.
Fans will once again see Ahn So-hee (Lee Sun-bin), Han Ji-yeon (Han Sun-hwa), Kang Ji-goo (Jung Eun-ji) and Kang Book-goo (Choi Siwon) enjoying a number of drinking sessions in "Work Later, Drink Now" Season 2. So, what will happen this time?
A TVING source said, via Soompi, that the network had decided to prepare for the second season as soon as the first one ended. The company knew there were a lot of fans waiting for the group of friends' return.
Like the first season, the insider revealed the second would be relatable and heartwarming. It would still be about the longtime friends and their drinking bond that showed their quirk chemistry.
The show first introduced the variety show writer, the yoga instructor, the origami YouTuber and the variety show PD on Oct. 22. It was the TV adaptation of the webtoon of the same name by Mikkang, per KBIZoom.
The drama story revolved around the daily lives of the three women, Ahn So-hee, Han Ji-yeon and Kang Ji-goo, who would always drink at the end of the day after their works. Of course, it also included Kang Book-goo, who also showed an incredible charm.
With its unique story, the show has drawn much attention. Everyone can relate to its tale of friendship, the office workers' joys and hardships and, of course, the drinking scenes.
Its official YouTube channel even surpassed 60 million views in just a month and a half after its release. In addition, the show also topped the list of weekly paid subscription figures among the original contents.
This helped increase the network's popularity during the fourth quarter of 2021. Though the first season has already ended, more and more people are still watching the show, maintaining the number of its paid subscribers.
