The controversy surrounding Free Zia (Song Ji-ah) continues and it now involves her "Single's Inferno" partner, Kim Hyun-joong. At the height of the YouTuber's fake signature clothing brands' scandal, the 28-year-old model got the media and public's attention after unfollowing Free Zia on Instagram.
Kim Hyun-joong received a backlash after he stop following Free Zia. Does this mean he is cutting ties with the social media star despite their relationship in "Single's Inferno?"
Amid all the assumptions about the body builder's move, he finally broke his silence and told MK News, via AllKpop, the reason why he unfollowed Free Zia. He admitted he was taken aback when people started speculating that he was cutting off everything he had with the influencer.
However, he contradicted all the negative comments and revealed they still have good feelings toward each other and remain in contact. With that being said, he sees no reason why he has to cut ties with her.
Kim Hyun-joong continued that he has no ill feelings toward the reality star. His main reason is that many people have shown their interest in them and as Free Zia is not following him on Instagram, he does not want to create another issue.
So, he decided just to unfollow her, not knowing that she was already embroiled in a huge controversy at the time. He even tried contacting her, but he could no longer reach her probably because of the reports.
Amid all the issues about Free Zia, Kim Hyun-joong said she is a "kind and bright person, who lives diligently." So, how do these malicious claims affect him?
Kim Hyun-joong revealed the comments about him gave him a hard time with how harsh they were. He said it was far different from the truth and he did not expect it to be biased and misunderstood.
Some even crossed the line. He just wished everyone would not show that much hate, understanding everyone had their strengths and weaknesses.
He also hoped people would not be easy to judge after seeing just one side of the story. Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-joong is still busy with his job as a model, personal trainer, CEO of his own gym, Mood Gym, and CEO of the food company, KAMEE, per Koreaboo.
Just like other cast members of "Single's Inferno," he found overnight success after joining the series. He is paired with Free Zia and their stint on the show, fans are now looking forward to seeing what is next for the favorite "puppy."
