The gaming industry is attempting to fill the vacuum left by E3's shambling zombie corpse this month. We have Geoff Keighly's Summer Game Fest, which we affectionately refer to as "Keigh3" but Microsoft is also putting on an Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.

In essence, Microsoft will do a presentation in lieu of E3 - at roughly the same time and on the same date. We assume that this gathering will be a front for an E3 conference. We'll witness gameplay from upcoming Microsoft and Bethesda games, as well as some important announcements for upcoming video games.

Here's everything you need to know for now.

When Will the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase Start?

The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will take place on Sunday, Jun. 12 at 10:00 a.m. PDT (that's 1 p.m. EDT)

If you're watching in the UK the event starts at 6 p.m. BST on Sunday, Jun. 12.

Folks watching in Australia will need to wake up at 3 a.m. AEST on Monday, Jun. 13. My condolences. That day is also a public holiday in Australia if that helps.

How to Watch or Stream the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase

This event will be broadcast in myriad distinct locations. It will be available on all major Xbox platforms. It will be livestreamed on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and possibly TikTok. We wouldn't watch this event on a vertical screen. On this one, go with YouTube.

What to Expect

Starfield, Bethesda's next major RPG, is likely to be the game most fans want to see. Starfield is the company's next big swing for a studio with Bethesda's legacy. Look for something like Skyrim in space, fueled by the strength of cutting-edge technology. That is a tantalizing prospect in and of itself.

Starfield was just postponed until 2023, but we'd be surprised if it didn't make a big showing at this event.

There's always the possibility that Microsoft will reveal more major guns, such as a new Forza game or a sneak peek at the next Fable game. We anticipate that time will be devoted to the future of Halo Infinite as a multiplayer game. There may possibly be new information about the future of Game Pass.

We're hoping for a few genuine surprises along the way.
