"One Piece" Chapter 1053 raw scans have dropped, showing the major developments happening in Wano. As a new saga begins, it gives a glimpse into Luffy's New Gear Five wanted poster, Ryokugyu's character design and more.
The raw scans also confirm the character revealed from the text spoilers. So, from the new Yonko to the Strawhat Pirates' bounties, here are what fans are about to see in "One Piece" Chapter 1053.
SportsKeeda noted the series' system would stay as the Yonko instead of the Goko or Five Emperors. It also confirmed that Buggy and Luffy would be the new Yonkos, not Law and Kid.
However, Law, Kid and Luffy's bounties are now revealed, with the lattermost coming out as 3 billion berries. He also has a new wanted picture showing his Gear Five form.
The raw scans also give a good look at Ryokugyu, showing his sleek character design wearing black leather boots and pants. He has no shirt and boasts a Japanese word tattooed on his chest that stretches the length of his torso in line with his left shoulder.
It also shows his Devil Fruit powers and his ability is seemed to be plant-based in some way. His skill even affects King and Queen.
But if there's one significant development confirmed by the "One Piece" Chapter 1053 raw scans, it's Robin's copying the Poneglyph and her talk with Tenguyama Hitetsu. She's in a Poneglyph room, similar to the one beneath the Flower Capital's castle that Brook saw earlier in the arc.
The two discuss the weapon Pluton, which may be in Wano. Though their talks' specifics are yet to be known, Hitetsu seems to reveal himself as Kozuki Sukiyaki, Oden's father and Momonosuke's grandfather.
Kozuki is believed dead, but the upcoming chapter proves it's not true. Now that he has come out, the second person who can read the Poneglyphs is alive.
Meanwhile, "One Piece" Chapter 1052 showed the Five Elders' discussion about the major developments in Wano Country after learning about the remaining CP0 agent, the emergence of Nika and the defeat of Big Mom and Kaido, per Anime News and Facts.
An Elder admitted these events were hard to hide. The agent then returned to the World Government fleet outside Wano.
Zunesha, too, had left the area, while another Elder stressed the borders would remain close and the invasion would be thwarted, though Robin's capture was demanded.
Seven days had passed since the raid and the Fire Festival ended. A new teacher replaced Sarahebi at a school in Flower Capital and changed the entire history course with a lesson about Oden's life.
