Monica Lewinsky is now back in the headlines, thanks to Jennifer Aniston. Though the once-controversial White House intern is yet to break her silence over the "Friends" star's comment that "she's famous for nothing," she seems to throw a subtle shade at the actress.

Jennifer Aniston is now facing a huge backlash for her comments about people getting famous for no reason. Monica Lewinsky is one of the names she mentions and it looks like the TV personality has a message to say when she likes a tweet about "hypocritical stars."

The activist remains mum about the claims of Brad Pitt's ex-wife. However, she seems to make her feelings very clear when she likes a tweet criticizing stars who "demean another woman's past amid their claims to preach empowerment," Daily Mail noted.

The tweet was made to show the fashion designer's role in pop culture. Twitter user @ernestsewell claimed dozens of singers and rappers used her name for years.

She then hit out at everyone who had bashed Monica Lewinsky over the years. She said even the likes of Beyonce, who she dubbed "Ms. Female-in-Power," used Lewinsky's name in the song "Partition," which Lewinsky corrected in an interview with Vanity Fair.

"For women who preach empowerment to demean another woman's past [and] drag her out for the sake of it looks really hypocritical," the tweet read. She continued that she wondered if Lizzo asked Lorena Bobbit to use her name and her violent reactions, like how hundreds of rappers and comedians used Monica Lewinsky's name as a derogatory word.

She added that they seemed to forget that an actual woman, who had feelings, spirit and mental health and dignity to maintain, was behind the name. For starters, Monica Lewinsky got embroiled in a huge scandal with the then-President Bill Clinton in 1998 after having a two-year sexual relationship.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston commented about internet celebrities in a talk with Sebastian Stan about his role in "Pam & Tommy" as part of the "Actors on Actors" interview for Variety. The two were talking about Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson's sex tape when Justin Theroux's ex made a comment, per Fox News.

She said it happened at the time when the internet shaped a new culture about people becoming famous. "This thing of people becoming famous for basically doing nothing. I mean - Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky, all those," she continued.

"The Morning Show" star added the rise of this new kind of fame was "diluting" her job as an actress as others became famous on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. With that said, Jennifer Aniston admitted she felt lucky she got a little taste of the industry before it became what it was today, with more streaming services and people.
