People around the world started to know South Korea more after BTS changed the shape of the country's music industry. Sure, the likes of Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls and more help the nation recognize, but the Bangtan Boys have changed the perception of The Land of the Morning Calm.

BTS is one of the biggest K-pop groups of today. They have transcended the international barriers, making and setting new records here and there.

They have brought a worldwide phenomenon, becoming a household name in the K-pop world. In fact, people all over the world probably know the group.

With that said, one fan saw that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook "managed to change the perception of South Korea" in the past few years, AllKpop noted. On YouTube, Korean travelers would often talk about the group when asked where they were from and said, "Korea."

The netizen even cited an example, showing screenshots of a YouTuber who traveled to France and went to the market. When asked where they were from and revealed Korea, the seller said it was a beautiful country where BTS was from and talked about the group.

A legion of fans also gathered at the iconic Piccadilly Circus in London to see the clip of the septet's advertisement, BTS x Hyundai, on May 31, on the big screen. One fan proved the claim about BTS's worldwide success in a discussion on Pann Nate, saying it was true and the band was starting to get big.

The netizen revealed that in 2015, people didn't know about Korea much, often guessing Asian people as Chinese or Japanese. However, things started to change and more individuals knew about the country because of BTS.

Meanwhile, the first 2030 Busan World Expo strategy meeting discussed BTS's appointment ceremony as ambassadors for the said event, per Soompi. The bidding committee reportedly wanted to hold a global concert for the show, voting strategies for the International Exposition Organization (BIE) general meeting and more.

After the discussions, the representatives decided to hold an ambassador appointment ceremony for the idols later this month and a global BTS concert in October in Busan to share the news about the 2030 Busan World Expo all over the world. Secretary general Park Jung Wook thanked Hybe for its cooperation and said they're confident that BTS's support for the festivity would help strengthen the city's bidding despite the competitive situation.

As ambassadors for the 2030 Busan World Expo, BTS is expected to join a wide variety of its promotional activities.
