Britney Spears and Elton John have finally dropped their collaboration song, "Hold Me Closer," and the two are allegedly having meetings about its music video. By the looks of it, the hitmakers want the clip to perfectly convey the message the track has.

"Hold Me Closer" was released last week, and both Britney Spears and Elton John wanted to give it a great music video. In fact, they are reportedly planning to hold a "huge production" and are ready for it.

A source told Hollywood Life that the alleged music video is in the "very beginning stages of development," as they're still trying to find out how they can perfectly convey the song's message.

The insider added that the Pop Princess and her team have already discussed this plan with Elton John. In fact, they have even had meetings about it.

However, nothing has come to fruition yet regarding a storyline and/or concept. But, they both want it to be a big production, and Britney Spears is so ready for it.

"She is ready for this video, and she is now ready to get back to her music," the tipster continued. "Hold Me Closer" has reportedly given the singer-dancer a voice again, which she's ready to use.

For starters, the 40-year-old star took a six-year hiatus and just made her musical comeback with the song's release. The track in question is an EDM revival of Elton John's 1971 hit "Tiny Dancer."

This marks the first time Britney Spears released a new song after winning against her 13-year conservatorship, which controlled her life and career, in November last year. She revealed that she decided to step away from making new music and performing after it killed her dreams.

Her last album released was "Glory" in 2016. Meanwhile, before releasing "Hold Me Closer," Britney Spears posted a tweet, saying she was learning "every day is a clean slate to try," per CNN.

She was also trying to "be a better person and do what makes her happy." She wanted to be fearless again, just like when she was younger.

Alternatively, Elton John revealed his husband, David Furnish, inspired him to collaborate with Britney Spears, believing their duet would give her the confidence she needed after going through a "traumatic time."

In an interview with The Guardian, the music icon said "Hold Me Closer" would help Britney Spears realize that people still love, care, and want her to be happy.
