It has been a while since fans get an update about "Demon Slayer" Season 3. With the lack of new information about the upcoming season, viewers have theorized what may happen next.
Fans expect a new "Demon Slayer" Season 3 trailer in December, assuming it will premiere in early 2023. So, what will happen in the Swordsmith Village arc?
The second season finale featured the Upper Moons' meeting at Muzan's Infinity Castle after Daki and Gyutaro died. This just hints that a new villain will be introduced, as it's highly unlikely that Muzan will kill them off, just like what he did with the Lower Moon demons.
A new Demon Slayer, Mark, was also introduced, and it might only take some time before he made an appearance again to join Tanjiro and the rest of the gang to battle the most powerful demons. Muzan likens Tanjiro to Yoriichi, and with Mark's coming, it just means Tanjiro may soon face the Demon King and prove he's a major threat to his existence.
So, who is Yoriichi? He used to be a Demon Slayer corps member who, just like Tanjiro, wore Hanafuda earrings.
He's also the first breath user, the creator of the renowned Sun Breathing style, where other breathing forms originated. Sun Breathing is the most powerful Breathing Style, which Tanjiro also uses.
However, Tanjiro only uses this move as his last resort, considering the major damage it's doing to his body. So in "Demon Slayer" Season 3, he may make more progress in mastering Sun Breathing.
It can't be denied that Tanjiro has already shown incredible growth after Rengoku died. He has overpowered Daki in their fight, but he still has to go on the same level as a Hashira to fight a much-stronger Upper Moon demon, especially Muzan.
Meanwhile, fans may see more of Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko, in "Demon Slayer" Season 3. The two were the only ones who went to the Swordsmith Village, leaving Zenitsu and Inosuke behind.
Also, little is only known about Mist Hashira, so he may need the help of Tanjiro and Nezuko to face an Upper Moon demon. The new season may need to drop more details about Genya, as he may play a major role this time.
Fans only knew him when he was introduced as one of the Demon Slayer aspirants, joining the corps' examination. So in the coming season, he may finally be in action as he may help the Hashiras, Tanjiro, and Nezuko fight off demons.
