The solo single "Seven" by BTS member Jungkook has been crowned the "Favorite New Music" on Billboard in the United States.
Billboard, a U.S. music publication, announced that Jungkook's first solo single "Seven" (featuring Latto) won first place in the "This Week's Favorite New Music" poll conducted on their official website.
According to Billboard, "Seven" was selected as the favorite new song of the week with an overwhelming voting rate of approximately 96%.
Other nominated songs included Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?" (2.56%), Troye Sivan's "Rush" (0.43%), Post Malone's "Overdrive" (0.39%), and Lil Tjay's "222" (0.22%). "Seven" managed to top the chart, significantly outpacing new songs from some of the world's most popular artists. Demonstrating its 96% voting rate, Jungkook's "Seven" is currently achieving explosive success, sweeping major global music charts.
"Seven", which was released simultaneously worldwide on the 14th, topped Spotify's "Global Top Songs" chart for four consecutive days. As the first Korean artist, including groups, to debut at number one on Spotify's 'US Top Songs' chart with an astonishing 2.06 million streams, Jungkook established an unparalleled record of maintaining this position for two consecutive days.
Moreover, Jungkook has written a formidable record of accomplishments, including being the first Korean solo artist to debut at number one on the Global Top Songs chart, holding the record for the most daily streams by an Asian artist, and achieving the fastest 50 million streams in Spotify's history.
