The time of NewJeans is truly upon us. Without any localized promotional activity, this group is making waves in the United States, the world's biggest pop market. Their quality music continues to expand their global influence, making the strides of NewJeans increasingly distinct.

According to their agency, ADOR, all six songs from NewJeans's (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) second mini album 'Get Up,' released on the 21st, made it into Spotify's U.S. 'Top 50 Daily Songs'. The tracks "Super Shy" (10th), "Cool With You" (16th), "New Jeans" (20th), "ETA" (22nd), "ASAP" (25th), "Get Up" (32nd) charted impressively.

This is the first time that a K-pop girl group has had all songs from an album enter the top 50 of this chart. Most songs also made it to the top of Spotify's U.S. 'Top 50 Daily Songs' the next day (July 22).

Spotify is the world's largest music streaming platform, impacting the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100". Therefore, it's often considered the first indicator of global music trends. Given the success NewJeans is enjoying, we can expect more record-breaking achievements in the future.

Indeed, NewJeans's lead single "Super Shy," released on July 7, entered the chart at 37th and gradually rose to a peak of 9th place (July 13). "Super Shy" also hit a new high for NewJeans on the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' at 66th place, ranking 2nd on the Billboard 'Global 200'.

Attention is focused on whether NewJeans's fourth and fifth songs will make it onto the Billboard 'Hot 100' after "Ditto", "OMG", and "Super Shy". So far, only two K-pop girl groups, including NewJeans, have placed two songs on the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' simultaneously. Only BTS among K-pop artists has had three or more songs enter at the same time. As NewJeans recently celebrated their first anniversary, there is keen interest in whether they will add to their significant achievements in K-pop history.

Physical album sales are also positive. NewJeans's second mini-album "Get Up" has already sold over 1.2 million copies, rapidly approaching the pre-order amount (1.72 million copies). While U.S. sales figures have not yet been released, considering NewJeans's growing global stature within a year, this could be interpreted as a green light for entry into the Billboard "Hot 100".

NewJeans's music has consistently shown increasing influence over time. They have announced plans for substantial overseas activities, including performing at the major U.S. music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' and Japan's "SUMMER SONIC 2023" next month. This is expected to further enhance NewJeans's influence in the mainstream pop market.

In Korea, NewJeans is currently sweeping the top of the major charts. "Super Shy" has been holding the top spot on daily charts such as Melon and Genie for about two weeks. The second title song of the second mini album, "ETA," and the prologue song "New Jeans" ranked 1st to 3rd on Bugs for two consecutive days along with "Super Shy". Signs of a "NewJeans vs. NewJeans" competitive structure are being reproduced.

NewJeans won the trophy with "Super Shy" on SBS's "Inkigayo" aired on July 23. They had also won first place on MBC's "Show! Music Core" and Mnet's "M! Countdown" earlier.
