BTS's V is set to launch his first solo album, collaborating with Min Hee Jin, the chief producer at ADOR.
According to Big Hit Music, the agency to which he belongs, on August 2, V is currently in the throes of working on his first solo album.
At V's suggestion, Min Hee Jin, the chief producer of NewJeans, will be supervising all aspects of the album's production, including music, choreography, design, promotion, and more.
Min Hee Jin, who is both the representative and the chief producer at ADOR, has led the success of NewJeans and is currently considered one of the most influential figures in the K-pop and domestic entertainment industry.
Producer Min Hee Jin said, "I received an offer late last year. I initially hesitated due to scheduling conflicts, but V's attitude, passion, and the intriguing vocal tone that I was unfamiliar with drew me in." She added, "What I'd like to emphasize in this project again is the music. I've prepared music that reflects V's preferences, and at the same time, music that I wanted to suggest. We focused on the music we wanted to make and could digest well, rather than sticking to a familiar style. It's been an intensely busy period, but I believe we have created some exciting work."
V shared his feelings about the release of his solo album, saying, "I'm nervous, but happy." He elaborated, "The album fully reflects my personal taste. There's going to be a lot to see. I prepared it with the belief that ARMY (the fandom name) will be pleased, so I hope you all look forward to it. You'll be able to see a new side of me, separate from BTS V, through solo artist V."
V has so far received praise for enriching his music with his unique husky yet soft vocal tones through his solo songs 'Stigma,' 'Singularity,' and 'Inner Child.'
He has showcased exceptional talent in songwriting and composition through his self-written songs such as '4 O'CLOCK,' 'Scenery,' 'Winter Bear,' 'Blue & Grey,' 'Snow Flower,' and others. V has also expanded his range of activities by participating in drama OSTs such as 'Even If I Die, It's You' from the drama 'Hwarang,' 'Sweet Night' from 'Itaewon Class,' and 'Christmas Tree' from 'Our Beloved Summer.'
Details regarding the release date of V's solo album will be announced in the future.
