Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen enjoying a night out at the popular Italian restaurant, Tre Lune, in Montecito, California, on Wednesday. The couple, who relocated to their Montecito mansion in Santa Barbara in 2020, were all smiles as they left the celebrity hotspot, known for its clientele including Kenny Loggins, Kevin Costner, Ellen DeGeneres, Kourtney Kardashian, and Travis Barker.
The Duchess of Sussex looked stylish in a strapless black and white Posse dress, complemented by strappy black sandals and her favorite Cult Gaia bag. The Duke of Sussex, on the other hand, opted for a casual look with a blue linen shirt and white trousers. They were accompanied by their good friend, Matt Cohen, the husband of the duchess's longtime friend Heather Dorak.
According to a source, the trio had a pleasant time at Tre Lune, where meals range from $24 to $61. The restaurant offers a variety of pasta and risotto dishes, as well as meat and fish entrees, including salmon fillets for $44 and filet mignon steak for $65.
The outing came just a day before Meghan Markle's 42nd birthday on August 4. The Duchess typically celebrates her birthday privately with her family.
In their Montecito community, the Sussexes lead a quiet life. Prince Harry often rides his bike around the neighborhood and spends time at the beach with their dog, Pula. One resident recalled a charming encounter with the Duke at the beach, where they played fetch with Pula.
Meghan Markle, on the other hand, is rarely seen out, but when she does, it's usually to buy flowers at the local farmer's market or to pick up their son, Prince Archie, from school. The couple is rarely seen together outside, but when they do venture out, they are accompanied by a significant security detail.
The Sussexes are also known to be regulars at the nearby pizza joint, Bettina, and prefer to dine at home where they share an office. They enjoy smaller group hangouts at home, including karaoke nights.
The couple was last seen together with their children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, at the Fourth of July parade in their neighborhood. Their last public engagement together was at the Ms. Foundation's Women of Vision Awards on May 16 in New York City.
Despite recent speculations about their marriage, the couple appears to be very much in love, according to celebrity photographer Karl Larsen, a friend of the duchess's father, Thomas Markle Sr.
