K-pop sensation NewJeans achieved the top spot on the U.S. "Billboard 200" chart within just a year of their debut, and successfully completed their inaugural U.S. performance at "Lollapalooza Chicago". On August 7, they shared their feelings through their agency, ADOR.

Regarding their monumental achievement on the "Billboard 200", Minji said, "When I first heard the news, I was truly shocked. I sincerely thank our global Bunnies (official fan club name) for all the support and love. We promise to repay you with even better music in the future."

Hanni acknowledged the feat, saying, "Achieving No.1 on the 'Billboard 200' isn't easy. From our debut album to this one, it feels like the time and effort of so many have been recognized. I'm delighted." Hyein expressed, "It truly feels surreal. I'm in awe and deeply grateful."

Danielle conveyed, "I feel a mix of surprise, gratitude, and a determination to do even better," while Haerin asserted her ambition: "I want to present diverse sides of us through new music in the future."

The group reminisced about their groundbreaking performance at "Lollapalooza Chicago", being the first K-pop girl group to perform there.

Minji recalled the atmosphere, saying, "I had no idea how many people would be there right up until we got on stage. But seeing the massive crowd and our light sticks (BingkiBong) was exhilarating." Haerin described, "The ambiance of the venue was electric. I felt exhilarated and it was a valuable experience."

Hanni reminisced, "It truly felt like a dream. When everyone sang along to our songs, I got goosebumps," adding, "The energy we received throughout was incredible; it was an unforgettable first festival for us." Hyein mentioned, "I was very nervous before stepping on stage, but once we started, I was immersed in the lively atmosphere. Seeing everyone enjoy our music was truly heartwarming."

Daniel'e cherished the moment, saying, "Standing on a grand stage like Lollapalooza was a dream since I was young. Being on that stage, I was overwhelmed with happiness," vowing, "I'll forever treasure the emotions felt that day, the gratitude, happiness, and excitement."

On the opening day of Lollapalooza, NewJeans performed at the "T-MOBILE" stage in Chicago's Grant Park at 5 PM local time. Around 70,000 attendees sang along to NewJeans' tracks. The Chicago Sun-Times reported, "It seemed to be the largest audience for a 5 PM performance."

With their mini-album "Get Up" hitting No.1 on the U.S. "Billboard 200" (as of August 5), and three tracks from the album charting on the "Hot 100", NewJeans continues to prove their growing global influence.
