However, royal expert Kinsey Schofield has stepped forward to debunk these claims, shedding light on the intricate dynamics within the monarchy.
The relationship between Prince Harry and his elder brother, Prince William, has been under scrutiny since the infamous 2020 Megxit scandal. This event marked Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's departure from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family. Since then, Prince William and Kate Middleton have assumed greater responsibilities within the monarchy and have consciously distanced themselves from the Sussexes' business ventures. Schofield, in her conversation with an outlet, emphasized, "The Prince and Princess of Wales are laser-focused on their goals for 2023 and are not distracted by the drama that seems to follow the Sussexes."
Schofield further speculated that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have intentionally distanced themselves from the Sussexes due to the latter's behavior. She stated, "They have made it a point to distance themselves." On the other hand, Prince Harry remains defiant, often downplaying any perceived rifts within the family.
The royal expert also touched upon the strained relationship between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle during the latter's time in the UK. Schofield believes that it's improbable that Prince Harry would communicate with Kate without Meghan's knowledge and approval. She stated, "I personally don't believe that Harry would speak to Catherine privately without Meghan's blessing."
Schofield, who has been in touch with insiders at Kensington Palace, revealed that her sources have dismissed the rumors surrounding Kate and Harry's alleged communication. She shared, "My contacts at Kensington Palace have told me that this story has no truth to it...The Princess of Wales is not making late-night calls to Prince Harry."
The expert also highlighted that much of Prince William's displeasure towards his younger brother stems from Harry and Meghan's candid discussions about Kate during their interview with Oprah and in Harry's memoir titled "Spare."
Both Prince William and Kate Middleton operate as a united front, and it's unlikely that Kate would act without considering her husband's feelings. Schofield remarked, "Catherine is very respectful of Prince William's feelings and wouldn't go behind his back to execute anything... The thought of her crawling out of bed to make phone calls is quite silly."
