Britney Spears is taking readers on a deep dive into her past relationships, including a fleeting, passionate encounter with actor Colin Farrell, in her forthcoming memoir "The Woman In Me."

According to an early glimpse from TIME, Spears draws an intense picture of their romance, recounting it as a heated "two-week brawl." Describing the fervor of their relationship, she notes, "Brawl is the only word for it -- we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight."

Their rendezvous began on the sets of Farrell's 2003 film, "S.W.A.T.", where they were introduced through a mutual club promoter friend. The flames of their brief relationship illuminated especially brightly against the backdrop of Spears' fresh break-up with pop icon Justin Timberlake.

While Spears acknowledges her vulnerability post her split with Timberlake, she reflects on the Farrell episode as an attempt to distract herself. "I tried to convince myself it was not a big deal and I was just having fun," she admits, further sharing that she wasn't "over Justin" when she accompanied Farrell to the premiere of "The Recruit."

Public appearances aside, Spears provides insights into her inner emotional turmoil at that juncture. "For a brief moment in time, I did think there could be something there. The disappointments in my romantic life were just one part of how isolated I became. I felt so awkward all the time."

Interestingly, the public narratives by both Spears and Farrell from that era downplayed their dalliance. Farrell previously commented to Entertainment Weekly about Spears, "We're not dating. She's a sweet, sweet girl. There's nothing going on - just mates." Likewise, Spears, in a conversation with W Magazine, fondly remembered their times together but asserted it was "nothing serious."

Though Spears shared her recollections and emotional reflections, representatives for Colin Farrell have yet to provide comments on the recent revelations.

Amidst this, the memoir has attracted significant media attention for other explosive excerpts, including Spears' previous relationship with Timberlake. The anticipation around Spears' book indicates that readers and fans are eager to learn more about the pop sensation's personal journey, with many seeing it as Spears reclaiming her narrative. "The Woman In Me" is scheduled to hit the shelves next Tuesday.
